If you feel overwhelmed and don’t know where to start, let’s start with something that could give you an idea on how the language basically works. Memorizing expressions and words in chunk is fine too, but we want to get you started on being able to express yourself and say what you want to say.
In the available materials on Oneul, you will find everything you need to get a good handle on the language and go out to explore for yourself.
First off, if you haven’t learned a single thing in Korean, your first mission is to master reading Hangul, which is basically the alphabets in Korean. Only then, will you be able to move forward with other lessons or take private lessons.
Then, you can get started on the grammar materials to practice basic sentence building. You can also get started with vocabulary learning to enrich your speaking skills.
When you feel confident enough to be able to form basic sentences and hold simple conversations, you can ease yourself into learning various Korean expressions in the Speaking materials. Remember that speaking requires practice of its own and you can find more information about 1 on 1 private Korean Speaking lessons here, as well.
You can find useful Goodnotes or other note-taking apps’ customized pages if you are an iPad and an Apple Pencil user. These come free with your subscription to the materials!
We are so excited for you to be embarking on a new journey to open doors to meet new people and drive your experiences into a whole new world.
Welcome to Oneul! 🇰🇷
